Awarapan 2 opened strongly on Friday and picked up further pace on Saturday thanks to the Independence Day holiday. The film saw a solid jump in collections on Day 2 as more audiences turned up for evening and night shows.

On Sunday, the third day, the movie is holding reasonably well even as the holiday effect eases a bit. Early and mid-day shows remained steady in several centres, especially single screens and multiplexes in North and West India, while overall occupancy stayed healthy for a Sunday.

The three-day trend so far shows that Emraan Hashmi’s return as Shivam has connected with viewers. Word of mouth is helping the film maintain decent numbers as the first weekend wraps up.

About Awarapan 2 and Future Prediction

Awarapan 2 is the sequel to the 2007 cult film and marks Emraan Hashmi’s return to the role of Shivam Pandit after nearly two decades. Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under Vishesh Films, the movie also features Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in key roles.

It released on 14 August 2026 and has been receiving a mixed-to-positive response from audiences who appreciate the emotional core and action sequences.

The film has already recovered a major portion of its budget in just three days. With the first weekend done, the coming weekdays will decide how much further it can stretch. If the current hold continues and word of mouth stays positive, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 centres, Awarapan 2 looks set for a comfortable theatrical run.

Trade estimates suggest the movie could settle in the healthy range if Monday and Tuesday numbers do not drop sharply. Emraan Hashmi’s fans have shown up in good numbers, and the combination of nostalgia and fresh elements seems to be working in its favour for now.
