About The Film

Latif is a devoutly religious man who lives a double life. By day he is a father raising his children in Houston, and by night he works as a hitman, carefully keeping the two worlds apart. His faith guides how he sees himself, even as his work pulls him in a very different direction.

When his wife dies, that balance falls apart. Left to protect his children on his own, Latif sets out on a desperate journey across the city, while the people and forces around him begin to close in. As the pressure builds, the beliefs he has relied on start to come under strain, and he is forced to face who he really is.

Blending sharp action with a personal family drama, the film is as much about faith, grief, and fatherhood as it is about violence, asking what a person owes to their children and to their own conscience.

About The Film

It is 2006, and Chris Hansen is the host of To Catch a Predator, a television series that stages confrontations with adults who arrange to meet people they believe are minors. Hansen sees the show as more than a hit segment.

He wants it to become a major television event, and he is determined to take it to the biggest stage the network has. As the show grows in popularity, so do the pressures behind the scenes. Hansen, his crew, and the network executives find themselves balancing the goal of exposing wrongdoing against the demand for ratings, and the line between serious investigation and spectacle starts to blur.

Along the way, the film follows Hansen’s ambition and how it affects his work, his relationships, and the people around him. Told in a tense, darkly comic tone, the film is a period drama about the early days of reality television and the choices made in pursuit of a bigger audience.

About The Film

Jo and Raissa have been best friends since grade school, sharing every milestone, secret, and inside joke along the way. As they graduate high school, the two are on the verge of heading in different directions for the first time, and the shift is already putting a quiet strain on their friendship.

Before they can fully process that change, the pair are unexpectedly pulled into Nakali, a mystical, long forgotten island world rooted in Philippine mythology. Cut off from everything familiar, Jo and Raissa have to navigate the island’s strange creatures, magical rules, and colorful inhabitants together, leaning on each other in ways they haven’t had to before.

As they search for a way back home, they learn that Nakali isn’t just a physical place removed from their world; it’s tied to memory and emotion itself. The island reveals that their route home may come at a real cost; specifically, pieces of the shared history and connection that have defined their friendship for years. Faced with this, Jo and Raissa are forced to confront how much they actually mean to each other, and whether they’ve been taking their bond for granted as they’ve grown older.

The Vvaan Box Office Collection Day 2: Strong Saturday Jump Takes Total Near ₹19 Crore Net

Post author By Rebecca Vaiphei
Post date September 27, 2026

Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s folklore fantasy thriller The Vvaan – Force of the Forrest found solid weekend momentum on Saturday. After opening to ₹8 crore net on Friday, the film climbed to ₹11 crore net on Day 2, a healthy 37.5% jump that pushed its two-day India net total to ₹19 crore.

The numbers tell a clear story of improving footfalls. On its first day the film played across 6,746 shows with around 26% overall occupancy. Saturday saw a slight increase in shows to 6,887 and occupancy rose to 34%, reflecting better audience turnout once word-of-mouth started circulating.

India gross after two days stands at ₹22.60 crore. Overseas also contributed, with the film adding ₹1.25 crore on Saturday to take its total overseas gross to ₹2.25 crore. That brings the worldwide gross to ₹24.85 crore so far. The Day 2 growth is encouraging for a film that opened in a relatively quiet window and faced competition from the Avengers: Endgame encore release.

The higher occupancy and extra shows on Saturday suggest families and younger audiences were more willing to buy tickets over the weekend. Ticket sales clearly picked up as the day progressed, which is typical for films relying on positive buzz rather than pure star power alone.

With Sunday still to come, the film will look to build further on this base. A strong weekend could help The Vvaan stabilise its position and give the makers a clearer picture of its long-term prospects. For now, the ₹11 crore Saturday figure and the jump in occupancy mark a positive step after the opening day.

About The Film

Common Man follows a lawyer who carries both personal loss and deep public anger at how the system has repeatedly failed ordinary people. When circumstances suddenly place him in a position of real power, he decides to use it not for personal gain, but to address the everyday problems that common citizens struggle with.

As he steps into this new role, the film follows his attempts to bring accountability and change, often clashing with the entrenched systems and familiar political rhetoric he has spent years watching fail people like him. His journey becomes as much about proving that meaningful change is possible as it is about confronting his own past grievances.

Grounded rather than larger than life, the film stays close to its protagonist’s sincerity and frustration, letting his actions speak for a broader commentary on governance and public trust. Without revealing how far his fight for change ultimately takes him, Common Man follows an ordinary man’s attempt to turn personal conviction into real impact for the people around him.

About The Film

The film follows a quirky, somewhat self-absorbed father-son pair living together in a remote village. Their settled, routine world is turned upside down when an unconventional young woman enters the family as a daughter in law.

What follows is a mix of domestic adjustments, generational differences, gentle romance and the quiet power of love that gradually challenges the old mindsets both father and son have held onto.

The film stays rooted in everyday rural life, keeping its focus on relationships and small, believable moments rather than big dramatic twists.

Directed by National Award winning filmmaker Manoj Kumar, known earlier for Akshi, the story is carried largely by the father son dynamic between Rangayana Raghu and Shree Raam, with Tapaswini Poonacha and Ramika Shivu playing key roles connected to the family’s changing equation.

The narrative builds around how one new arrival in the household reshapes old habits, assumptions and the bond between father and son.

About The Film

Anumana Pakshi follows Sunny, a Vizag based overthinker who is suspicious of almost everything around him, played by Rag Mayur. He runs a channel called Anumana Pakshi, built entirely around his habit of doubting people and situations that most others would take at face value.

Sunny’s world takes a serious turn when his friend Ananth calls from Kashmir, threatening suicide. Dropping everything, Sunny sets out for Kashmir along with his friends to reach Ananth, and along the way meets Kanya Kumari, who becomes an important presence in the unfolding events.

The situation grows more complicated when another friend, Varma, dies under suspicious circumstances, leaving Sunny to grapple with the unsettling possibility that he himself could somehow be responsible. Blending comedy with a mystery driven thriller angle, the film follows Sunny as his overthinking nature, once just a personality quirk, is put to a real test.

Without revealing what actually happened to Varma or how the situation with Ananth resolves, Anumana Pakshi follows Sunny’s uneasy journey to separate genuine suspicion from his own anxious imagination.

About The Film

Tutt Paini English Ne is set in a Punjabi village, where two families are divided by ego, education and the language they speak. Driven by a need to prove her family’s status, Rupinder Kaur brings home Gagan, an English speaking daughter in law, hoping her fluency will impress everyone around them.

There is just one problem. Gagan does not know a word of English, and what starts as a small, well intentioned pretense soon begins to spiral. As the lie grows heavier with each passing day, the pressure to keep up appearances starts putting a strain on the relationships it was meant to protect and impress.

Mixing comedy with heartfelt family drama, the film uses the everyday confusion around language and pride to explore deeper themes of honesty, family expectations and the gap between how people present themselves and who they really are. Without revealing how or when the truth finally comes out, Tutt Paini English Ne follows Rupinder Kaur and Gagan as their carefully built pretense edges closer to an emotional reckoning.

About The Film

Meesaya Murukku 2 continues the story from the original 2017 film, moving into a new chapter set in North Chennai. Spanning three generations of musicians, the film follows Jeeva, a talented but playful young Gaana singer, whose dreams stretch far beyond his local neighbourhood as he sets his sights on taking his street rooted music to a much wider audience.

Rooted in an emotional, fact based narrative, the film explores the deep connection between music and identity, following Jeeva’s journey as he tries to carry forward a sound that has always belonged to his community while chasing something bigger for himself. His path is shaped by the people around him, spanning different generations, each carrying their own relationship with the music that defines their world.

Mixing musical drama with the coming of age spirit of the original, the film follows Jeeva as he balances ambition, roots and the weight of carrying a legacy forward. Without revealing how far his dream takes him or what he sacrifices along the way, Meesaya Murukku 2 stays true to its musical soul, following Jeeva’s journey from the streets of North Chennai toward a bigger stage.

About The Film

Dorothy is set in a rural landscape shaped by toxic masculinity and violence, where two lifelong friends have grown up within the rigid, often harsh codes of their surroundings. Their long-standing bond and worldview are permanently upended after the arrival of Dorothy, a compassionate woman whose presence and outlook challenge everything the two friends have come to accept as normal.

As Dorothy becomes part of their lives, her openness and empathy begin to expose the cracks in the world the two men have always known, forcing them to confront values and behaviours they had never questioned before. Keerthy Suresh plays the title role, with Sananth and Rishikanth playing the two friends whose friendship is tested by her arrival.

Mixing drama, crime and romance, the film explores how one person’s compassion can disrupt an entrenched, toxic environment, following the ripple effects of Dorothy’s presence on the two friends and the world around them. Without revealing how their relationships or the larger conflict ultimately unfold, Dorothy follows this collision between old, hardened ways of living and a gentler, more humane perspective that refuses to be silenced.

About The Film

Amanushikam brings together Joemon Joshy, Saju Navodaya and Rajesh Paravoor in a story shaped by director Nidhish K Nair, who has also handled the film’s story direction. The title itself, which roughly translates to something beyond the human or the inhuman, hints at a narrative built around forces or events that push its characters past the limits of ordinary experience.

While the makers have kept detailed plot specifics under wraps ahead of release, choosing to let the trailer build curiosity rather than reveal the full arc of the story, the film appears to lean into tense, unsettling territory based on its title and promotional tone.

Without confirmed plot points to draw from, Amanushikam is positioned as a story that explores the darker or more extraordinary edges of human experience, with its cast set to carry a narrative the makers have deliberately kept guarded for audiences to discover for themselves in theatres.
