Word of mouth is still working well for the film in Kerala, and the second weekend looks much better than expected after a usual weekday drop.
Afternoon Update (as of 2 PM IST): Afternoon shows picked up nicely compared to morning, averaging 38-45% occupancy in Kerala multiplexes and single screens. Spots like Kochi, Trivandrum and Calicut are leading. All-India early samples are showing better than yesterday at the same time. On track for ₹2+ crore day.
Morning Update (as of 11 AM IST): Morning shows opened at around 27-30% occupancy across Kerala (Malayalam version). A few centers in Trivandrum and Ernakulam touched 40%+, but overall start was decent for a second Sunday. Early samples were slightly lower than yesterday morning but holding okay.

About Eko and Future Prediction
Dinjith Ayyathan’s mystery thriller Eko, starring Sandeep Pradeep, has turned out to be one of the surprise hits of the season in Malayalam cinema. Made on a controlled budget of just ₹5 crore, the film is already a super hit and is comfortably cruising past the ₹25 crore worldwide mark in just 10 days.
With no big Malayalam release in the next week and positive talk still strong, Eko can easily add another ₹8-10 crore in the coming weeks and finish around ₹35-38 crore worldwide. A clean super hit and one of the most profitable Malayalam films of 2025.
