After opening low at around ₹0.50 crore on Friday, Gustaakh Ishq managed to pick up some momentum on its first Saturday. Positive reviews and weekend footfalls helped the film register healthy growth through the day, though it remains a tough road ahead for this small romantic drama.

About Gustaakh Ishq and Future Prediction
Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s gentle poetic romance, backed by strong performances from Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi, has earned praise for its grace and emotional depth. However, extremely limited release (under 800 shows nationwide) and zero hype meant it never got the push needed.
With positive word-of-mouth now kicking in, Sunday could see another 20-30% jump, taking the opening weekend to roughly ₹3.25-3.50 Cr. Lifetime business looks headed towards ₹8-10 Cr unless it sustains really well in urban pockets next week. Recovery will be difficult, but it may earn respect as a small gem that found its audience slowly.
