About The Film
Colony is a Korean action horror thriller directed by Yeon Sang-ho, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Choe Gyu-seok. The film takes place during a biotech conference where a rapidly mutating virus is accidentally released.
As the infection spreads, the authorities seal the facility, leaving the people inside with limited options for escape. Gianna Jun plays Professor Se-jeong, one of the central characters caught in the outbreak. Koo Kyo-hwan plays Seo Young-cheol, while Ji Chang-wook portrays Choi Hyun-seok.
Kim Shin-rok appears as Choi Hyun-hee, Shin Hyun-been plays Gong Seol-hee and Go Soo plays Han Gyu-seong. The story follows Se-jeong and a small group of survivors as they attempt to stay alive while the infected undergo increasingly dangerous transformations. The film combines elements of action, horror, science fiction and thriller storytelling.
