About The Film
Mahabahu – The Brahmaputra follows a scientific expedition as it journeys down the mighty Brahmaputra River, tracing the course of its unpredictable currents while confronting the challenges the river presents at every turn.
Pranjal Pratim Chetia, who also directs the film, plays the lead role, with Preety Kongona as the female lead opposite him. As the expedition moves forward, the story weaves in the lives of the communities living along the Brahmaputra’s banks, particularly around Sivasagar, capturing how deeply their existence is tied to the river’s moods.
