September 28, 2025, Kolkata: Hello friends, Durga Puja is on, and Bengali films are drawing big crowds to theaters. Dev’s latest movie Raghu Dakat is doing good business in its opening weekend. On day 3, which was Saturday, it collected ₹0.50 crore net in India. This brings the three-day total to ₹1.32 crore. The film hit screens on September 25, right before Puja began, and families are enjoying it after pandal visits.

The movie tells the story of a well-known dacoit from old Bengal days. Dev stars as the lead, with Anirban Bhattacharya and Sohini Sarkar in key roles. Dhrubo Banerjee directs it, with lots of action, mystery, and battles against British rulers. Some people like the story, others feel it needs more punch, but the fight scenes are a hit.

Reasons Why Raghu Dakat is a Hit This Puja

Check out this list of what makes the movie popular:

  • Dev’s Strong Role: He fits perfect as the tough Raghu, pulling in his fans.
  • Perfect Puja Timing: Released just before the festival, it’s a family pick after pandal hopping.
  • Exciting Action: Horse chases and old-style sets look great, with nice effects.
  • Local Bengal Tale: The story of a man fighting wrongdoers connects with people here.
  • Beating Rivals: It’s ahead of movies like Raktabeej 2, which earned only ₹0.44 crore in three days.

Future for Raghu Dakat at Box Office

Made on a budget of about ₹12 crore, the movie should recover costs soon. With Puja breaks starting today, it may earn more on Sunday and Monday. Experts think it can reach ₹3-4 crore by weekend end. Dev’s last film Dhumketu started stronger, but this one is gaining from word of mouth.
