About The Film
Epic – First Semester follows Aditya, played by Anand Deverakonda, a middle class boy from Wanaparthy who dreams of becoming a filmmaker but ends up being sent abroad to the UK by his parents, hoping it will secure his future.
Leaving behind a life he is familiar with, Aditya finds himself out of his depth in a new country, unsure of how to navigate this unfamiliar world.
Soon after arriving, he meets Kadali, played by Vaishnavi Chaitanya, a fellow student who gradually becomes an important presence in his life.
As their friendship deepens against the backdrop of college life in the UK, Aditya begins to grow more confident, guided in part by her presence and the new experiences that come with being away from home.
Alongside this personal journey, the story keeps a thread connected to his parents back home, played by Shivaji and Vasuki, whose hopes and expectations continue to shape Aditya’s choices even from a distance.
Told as a coming-of-age romance, the film follows Aditya’s first steps into independence and love, without revealing how his journey with Kadali, or his larger dreams, ultimately play out.
