Jailer 2 Budget and Box Office Collection Day 5 Worldwide

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is racing ahead at the box office. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial, which hit screens on October 15, has already pulled in a strong worldwide gross of ₹477.75 crore after five days. India alone has contributed ₹283.75 crore gross (₹242.25 crore net), while overseas markets have added around ₹194 crore.

The film was made on a reported budget of ₹240-300 crore. That scale is already looking comfortable given the opening numbers.

Here’s the day-wise India net performance so far (gross figures track higher by the usual tax difference):

Day 1 (Thursday): ₹59.70 crore net

Day 2 (Friday): ₹37.10 crore net

Day 3 (Saturday): ₹47.25 crore net

Day 4 (Sunday): ₹55.85 crore net

Day 5 (Monday): ₹42.35 crore net

Monday saw a natural weekday drop of about 24% from Sunday’s peak, yet the film still held well. It played across roughly 15,150 shows with overall occupancy near 49%. The Tamil version remained the clear driver, delivering ₹31.40 crore from about 7,790 shows and strong 65-70% occupancy in key centres. Chennai and Coimbatore especially stayed packed, with evening and night shows often crossing 90%. Telugu contributed ₹7.15 crore, Hindi ₹3.35 crore, and Kannada a smaller share.

Total footfalls in the first five days crossed 1.59 crore. The weekend bounce after a softer Friday showed healthy word of mouth, and Monday’s hold keeps the ₹500 crore worldwide mark within touching distance in the coming days.

Jailer 2 continues to deliver the kind of mass numbers fans expect from a Rajinikanth outing, especially in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and the Telugu states.
