About The Film
Amartha brings together Srinagar Kitty and Meghana Raj, reuniting a pair who have shared the screen in earlier Kannada films, for a story set against the scenic backdrop of coastal Karnataka and the Malnad region.
With filming spread across Dakshina Kannada, Karkala, Chikkamagaluru, Kalasa and Mangaluru, the film draws deeply on the culture and rhythms of this landscape.
The title’s tagline, “Kaalaatheetha Asthithva,” meaning a timeless existence, hints at a story that may explore themes stretching beyond the ordinary passage of time, whether through memory, tradition, or a bond that outlasts circumstance.
Guru Hegde, who also co-directs the film, plays a supporting role alongside Usha Bhandari, Keerthi Shetty and others rounding out the cast. The makers have kept the specific plot details under wraps ahead of release, allowing the film’s atmosphere and setting to build curiosity rather than revealing its central conflict upfront.
Without confirmed plot points to draw from, Amartha is positioned as a story rooted in Karnataka’s coastal and hill landscapes, with its central pair at the heart of a narrative the makers have chosen to let audiences discover for themselves in theatres.
