About The Film
Dhoomakethu follows Kuttan, a thirty six year old man who wakes up on the morning of his own wedding, disturbed by a strange dream about his death. As the day unfolds, he starts to notice familiar moments repeating themselves, and reality slowly becomes harder to separate from memory.
Realising that something is deeply wrong with the day he is living through, Kuttan sets out to find answers before it repeats itself once again. His search pulls him into an unexpected mystery connected to a hidden underwater secret, forcing him to race against a clock that keeps resetting no matter what he does.
Mixing comedy with a sense of mounting dread, the film uses its time loop premise to build both humour and tension, following Kuttan and his bride as they navigate a wedding day that refuses to move forward normally. Without revealing what is actually causing the loop or how Kuttan finally breaks free of it, Dhoomakethu follows his frantic attempt to outrun fate before the day claims him for good.
