About The Film
Set in Oregon in 1933, at the height of the Great Depression, the film follows Samuel Murphy, a man serving time in a labor camp after the death of his wife left him separated from his young daughter, Penny.
When Samuel is offered a shot at an early release, the catch is steep: he must join a small group tasked with transporting a fortune in gold across a stretch of unforgiving wilderness, all under the watchful, iron-fisted control of the camp’s overseer, Clancy.
