Mumbai, October 20, 2025: The upcoming Bollywood movie Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, is all set to release in theatres tomorrow on Diwali. Directed by Milap Zaveri, this romantic drama thriller is creating some buzz with its intense story and fresh pairing. As the big day approaches, advance bookings for the first day are picking up, showing a steady start for this mid-budget film.

Advance Booking Collections for Day 1
According to the latest reports, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has collected around Rs 1.84 crore in advance bookings for its opening day across India, without including blocked seats. This comes from over 68,767 tickets sold for about 5,361 shows. When blocked seats are added, the figure goes up to Rs 3.33 crore, which is encouraging for a film like this.

The bookings are mainly for the Hindi 2D version, with Rs 1.83 crore from around 68,767 tickets and an average ticket price of Rs 243. No other language versions are mentioned in the reports. Key cities like Delhi and Mumbai are leading, with Delhi at Rs 56.12 lakh and 7% occupancy, and Maharashtra at Rs 52.34 lakh with 6% occupancy. Other areas like Uttar Pradesh (Rs 32.69 lakh) and Tamil Nadu (Rs 7.52 lakh with 22% occupancy) are also contributing well.
Earlier updates showed lower numbers, like around Rs 1.28 crore with 46,840 tickets, but sales have increased as the release nears. For a Diwali release, this is moderate, but spot bookings and holiday crowds could push it higher.
Movie Budget and Production Details
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has been produced on a budget of Rs 20 crore. The film runs for about 2 hours and 20 minutes and has got an A certificate from the CBFC, meaning it’s for adults only due to its thriller elements.
The movie is written by Milap Zaveri and Mushtaq Shiekh, and produced by Desi Movies Factory. It features music from composers like Kunaal Vermaa and others, promising a mix of romance and suspense.
Box Office Expectations and Challenges
Trade experts are positive about the film’s opening. Some predict the first-day collection could be in the Rs 8-10 crore range, helped by the festive season and good advance in national chains. If word-of-mouth is strong, it might collect Rs 40-50 crore in the first week.
But competition is tough. It’s clashing with Ayushmann Khurrana’s horror-comedy Thamma in the Hindi belt. Down south, other releases like Kantara: Chapter 1 could affect it. Still, with Harshvardhan and Sonam’s chemistry and the thriller vibe, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has potential to surprise.
Fans are excited about the romantic twists and action. Let’s wait and see how it does at the box office from tomorrow!
