About The Film
Toss opens with a simple but pointed question, why does a man keep tossing a coin in God’s name, and builds its story around the answer. At the centre is Arjun Dev’s character, whose life is shaped by a close bond with his mother as well as his connection to the world of theatre, where performance and real life often blur into one another.
Running alongside this is a love story between a young man from Mangaluru and a woman from Kerala, played by Sutej Shetty, whose relationship develops against the cultural backdrop of the coastal region.
As their bond deepens, the story brings in a formidable villain whose presence threatens to disrupt the fragile balance the protagonist has built between his family, his art and his love life.
Mixing mass action with warm, emotional moments and a good dose of humour, the film follows its hero as he navigates these intertwined threads, drawing on the recurring imagery of the coin toss to reflect the uncertainty and choices that define his journey.
Without revealing what ultimately tips the balance, Toss follows Arjun’s character as he takes on the villain and the challenges around him, staying true to the larger-than-life spirit of a mass entertainer.
