Nakhrewaalii Review
The story follows Sumit Mishra, a young man who believes women have an easier time in life. When love for Paridhi and the need for a government job push him, he decides to disguise himself as a woman named Sumita. What starts as a simple plan quickly turns complicated with dual identities, unexpected situations, and plenty of chaos. The film keeps the tone playful while touching on everyday double standards without heavy preaching.
Early social media chatter around the trailer and pre-release posts shows mixed but curious reactions. Many viewers liked the fresh “womantic comedy” angle and the tagline about Majnu having to become Laila sometimes. Ansh Duggal’s comic timing in the cross-dressing sequences and the chemistry with Pragati Srivastava drew positive comments. Supporting actors like Gopal Datt and Kumud Mishra also got mentions for bringing energy.
Common notes included comparisons to earlier gender-swap comedies and a feeling that the premise feels familiar. Overall sentiment leans towards mild interest rather than strong hype, with audiences waiting to see if the full film delivers laughs and heart in equal measure. This one will mainly appeal to viewers who enjoy light romantic comedies with a social twist and do not mind predictable situations.
Strengths lie in its breezy approach and the lead pair’s earnest performances. Weaknesses may include a story that stays surface-level and limited novelty for those who have seen similar films before. On the basis of early buzz and low advance bookings, it is a decent one-time watch in theatres if you are in the mood for something uncomplicated, though waiting for streaming is also fine for most.
