Patakka Guddiyan Review
Early audience response has been mixed to weak. Many viewers found the film slow and ordinary. Occupancy stayed very low in most centres, and word of mouth has not been strong so far. Some people appreciated the twin concept and a few comic moments, while others called it a time pass film with limited entertainment value.
The story follows twin sisters Roohi and Mahi. One is simple and grounded, the other is sharp, daring and mischievous. Even though they share the same face, their personalities create constant confusion, misunderstandings and emotional moments inside their Punjabi family. The film mixes comedy, family drama and a few unexpected turns as the sisters’ worlds collide.
On social media and early reviews, Hashneen Chauhan’s dual performance received the most comments. A few viewers liked her energy in the contrasting roles and some supporting actors. Common complaints focused on a thin story, predictable situations, slow pacing and weak overall impact. Many said theatres felt empty and the film did not hold attention throughout. Overall sentiment remains largely negative to average, with limited positive buzz.
This film may work for those who enjoy simple Punjabi family comedies and twin sister stories. Its strengths lie in the basic concept and a few light moments. Weaknesses include ordinary writing, limited humour that lands, and lack of strong emotional pull. At present it does not feel like a strong theatrical experience. Waiting for streaming seems the better option for most viewers.
