About Thaapi
Thaapi follows a young woman living in a village where wrestling is an important part of local pride and tradition. When she challenges the social expectations placed on women, she faces opposition and is pushed away by the people around her. Instead of giving up, she forms an all-female kabaddi team.
The team prepares to compete against an international squad, turning the sporting contest into a larger struggle for respect, equality and recognition. Through determination and teamwork, the young woman challenges traditional attitudes and works to create a new legacy for women in sports.
