Our Review of Ghaati
Ghaati is an action crime drama where Anushka Shetty plays a tough rebel queen fighting in a gritty world, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Anushka shines with her strong performance, but the story leans too much on usual tropes and doesn’t bring fresh twists to keep you hooked all the way. Vikram Prabhu and others do okay, but the film feels like it could have been tighter. Okay for fans of lady led action, but nothing that stands out big.
What Worked
- Anushka Shetty’s killer performance – her intense avatar as Sheelavathi is already a fan fave.
- Stunning visuals in Koraput’s hills and valleys, giving a fresh, raw backdrop.
- Hype from promos like the “Dassora” song and trailer, racking up millions of views.
What Didn’t Work
- Anushka’s absence from promotions might lower the pre release buzz.
- Clashing with Madharaasi and Little Hearts on September 5 could split audiences.
- Some say the story’s dark tone might not vibe with everyone.
