Peddi Day 3 Box Office Collection Ram Charan Film Shows Promising Hold on Saturday

Peddi had a thunderous opening on Thursday but witnessed the usual first-week drop on Friday. The film collected roughly ₹32 crore gross in India on Day 2, taking its two-day domestic gross to around ₹114.5 crore. Telugu states continued to drive the majority of the business, while Hindi and other language versions contributed in smaller proportions.

The drop on Friday was around 47 percent, which is fairly standard for big openers. However, the film has maintained solid occupancy in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where audience interest remains high despite mixed reviews. Some controversy around a few scenes involving Janhvi Kapoor’s character created noise, but Ram Charan’s intense performance and the sports drama elements are helping it stay afloat at the box office.

Coming to Day 3 (Saturday), early trends look encouraging. Occupancy has improved in key Telugu centres during the evening shows, and the film is expected to register a decent jump from Friday. Trade circles are tracking the numbers closely as weekend footfalls usually give a better picture of the film’s actual pulling power.

About Peddi and Future Prediction

Peddi is a sports action drama set in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh. Ram Charan plays a determined villager who brings his community together through sports like cricket, wrestling and running to protect their pride and fight against powerful opponents. The film also features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and several other familiar faces. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana with music by A R Rahman, it hit theatres on June 4 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

The movie opened to mixed reviews. Ram Charan’s physical transformation and sincere performance won praise from most sections, while the long runtime and some uneven writing drew criticism. A section of the audience also raised objections to certain scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor, after which the director issued an apology and promised necessary edits in theatres. Despite the divided response, the film has found strong support in Telugu-speaking areas where mass audiences are connecting with the core story and Charan’s mass hero avatar.

Looking ahead, Peddi’s box office journey will depend on how well it holds through the weekend and into the weekdays. The strong opening and Ram Charan’s pull have given it a good head start. If word of mouth remains positive in the core markets and the edited version settles well with family audiences, the film can comfortably cross ₹250-300 crore worldwide in its first week. The Hindi version is running on the weaker side, so the major chunk of business will continue to come from Telugu states. Overall, it appears headed for a hit verdict in Telugu if the current momentum continues, though a prolonged run will require sustained audience interest beyond the initial buzz.
