The Taj Story Day 25 Box Office Collection: Steady But Slow Performance

Guwahati November 24 2025: The Taj Story, starring Paresh Rawal, has been holding on at the box office despite being in its fourth week. Yesterday, on day 24 (Sunday), the film collected around ₹0.10 crore in India, showing a slight weekend bump. Today, on day 25 (Monday), early estimates point to a drop with collections around ₹0.02 crore, as weekday trends kick in and competition from new releases grows.

Evening update: Evening shows saw a bit of a pickup with occupancy around 10-12% in major Indian cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru. Collections from these slots are estimated at ₹0.008 crore in India. Worldwide, the film has limited screenings left, mostly in the US and UAE, with occupancy under 5% and negligible additions to the total.

Afternoon update: Afternoon occupancy hovered at 8-10% across India, better than mornings but still low for a weekday. This brought in about ₹0.006 crore domestically. Overseas, afternoon slots (adjusted for time zones) showed sparse crowds, adding little to the global tally.

Morning update: Morning shows started slow with 5-7% occupancy in India, mainly in urban areas. Early collections sit at ₹0.005 crore here. Worldwide, mornings were even quieter, with almost no reported activity from international markets.

About The Taj Story and Future Prediction

The Taj Story is a courtroom drama directed by Tushar Amrish Goel, featuring Paresh Rawal in the lead as a tourist guide who questions the history behind the Taj Mahal. The film mixes historical elements with legal twists, supported by actors like Zakir Hussain and Amruta Khanvilkar.

It opened to mixed reviews but found some word-of-mouth support in urban areas for its unique take on a famous landmark. Looking ahead, the movie is likely to wrap up around ₹22-24 crore net in India, close to breaking even on its modest budget. With limited overseas pull, it might end as a semi-hit, holding steady but not exploding due to niche appeal and tougher competition in coming weeks.
