About The Film
Frankie and Molly are longtime best friends living together in Los Angeles. They scrape by paycheck to paycheck while spending much of their time high. Frankie works as a delivery driver and Molly handles office spreadsheet work. Their routine is interrupted by a case of mistaken identity.
The pair ends up with a briefcase containing vials of an experimental laboratory drug. After trying the substance they develop telepathic abilities that let them share thoughts. The discovery pulls them into a larger conflict as people connected to the drug begin chasing them across the city.
The story follows the two friends as they try to manage their new connection, stay ahead of the pursuers, and deal with the practical problems of their everyday lives. Supporting characters include a hired helper, a boyfriend, a real estate figure, scientists linked to the drug, and the pair’s two cats who gain the ability to speak.
The film runs about 1 hour and 40 minutes and carries an R rating for drug use, language, some sexual references and graphic nudity. It was shot in Los Angeles and is distributed by Neon.
