Darling Pyar Jhukta Nahi Again Collection | Budget | Hit/Flop

Darling Pyar Jhukta Nahi Again is a Chhattisgarhi romantic drama film, released on 27 February 2026 starring Amlesh Nagesh, Diksha Jaiswal, Aman Sagar, Anshul Awasthi, and supporting cast. Directed by Bharti Verma, the film explores a young couple’s relationship enduring mounting pressure from societal expectations, family demands, and traditional norms that challenge their commitment and force them to confront love, sacrifice, and resilience in contemporary Chhattisgarh.

Reports confirm an extremely subdued opening at the Indian box office, with India gross collections of ₹0.02 crore on Day 1. Worldwide gross stood at ₹0.02 crore, reflecting negligible overseas contribution and limited footfalls primarily in Chhattisgarh single-screen and multiplex theatres. Theatre occupancy remained critically low at 8-12% in major markets such as Raipur, Bilaspur, and Durg, with multiple venues reporting near-empty auditoriums during most shows. For Day 2 (28 February 2026), collections stood at ₹0.01 crore based on sustained low occupancy trends.

Day 3 (1 March 2026) saw collections at ₹0.01 crore amid continued sparse social media traction and comparison with similar small-budget Chhattisgarhi films showing flat weekday holds. In comparison to other low-budget Chhattisgarhi releases around the same period, the opening aligns with low-visibility content-driven offerings struggling for traction amid competing releases.

Targeted promotions may offer marginal weekend support, yet the trajectory indicates significant challenges for theatrical sustainability. The production’s focus on authentic cultural nuances, heartfelt conflicts, and traditional values positions it as a thoughtful one-time watch emphasising emotional resonance over mass spectacle.

Our Review

Darling Pyar Jhukta Nahi Again is a film that exists entirely for its audience, and that audience knows exactly who it is. This is not a film trying to cross over into Hindi mainstream cinema or compete with Bollywood. It is a pure, unapologetic Chhattisgarhi entertainer made for the people of Chhattisgarh, and there is something genuinely refreshing about that kind of focused, no-pretense filmmaking.

The franchise started back in 2021 under Pranav Jha and Bharti Verma, tapping into the romantic comedy-drama space with strong local flavour, Chhattisgarhi dialogues, folk music influences, and small-town characters that Chhattisgarhi audiences could see themselves in. That formula worked, and it worked well enough to keep the franchise going across multiple instalments.

With “Again”, director Bharti Verma takes the reins herself, bringing in fresh faces in Anshul Awasthi and Luv Dada at the centre of what appears to be a college-based romance with the usual misunderstandings, families, emotions, and comedy that the franchise has always leaned into.

The supporting cast is largely familiar to fans of Golden Dreams Productions output, and their presence gives the film a comfortable, lived-in feel that fans of the series will appreciate immediately. What makes this film interesting from a cultural standpoint is what it represents for Chhattisgarhi cinema as a whole.

Chhattisgarh is one of India’s most underrepresented states in the mainstream film conversation, and yet it has quietly built a functioning regional film industry with its own stars, production houses, audiences, and distribution networks. Golden Dreams Productions is one of the more consistent outfits in that ecosystem.

Their films are not technically polished by Mumbai or Chennai standards, but they understand their audience instinctively, and that understanding translates into genuine emotional connection with viewers in Raipur, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur, and across rural Chhattisgarh. In that sense, Darling Pyar Jhukta Nahi Again is doing exactly what regional cinema is supposed to do — telling local stories for local people in their own language, with their own music and their own humour.

From a box office standpoint, this film should not be judged by the same yardstick as a Bollywood or even a major South Indian release. Its Day 1 numbers will likely be in the ₹10 to ₹20 lakh range in India Gross, concentrated almost entirely in Chhattisgarh and parts of Madhya Pradesh. That is not a failure — that is the normal ceiling for this industry.

If the film runs full houses across Raipur and Bilaspur multiplexes for two to three weeks, and generates strong traction on its YouTube channel after the theatrical run, the Golden Dreams Productions team will consider it a success.

Compare it to the earlier franchise films — both made their money back comfortably within their theatrical window and continued to earn through digital viewership for months afterwards. Darling Pyar Jhukta Nahi Again is very likely to follow that same path, which means a quiet but solid hit verdict within its own context is the most probable outcome.
