About The Film
Set during the Jewish exile to Babylon, the film follows Daniel as Babylon’s armies conquer Jerusalem and take him and his people into captivity. Despite these harsh circumstances, Daniel rises within the powerful and unforgiving Babylonian Empire, eventually gaining favor under King Nebuchadnezzar.
His growing standing, however, comes with a cost, as it draws the attention of rivals and enemies within the royal court. The story builds toward a defining moment of faith, centred on the well-known biblical account of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, three men who face an impossible choice when the king issues a decree demanding absolute worship under penalty of death.
Their refusal to bend sets the stage for a test of conviction and courage that becomes the heart of the film, exploring themes of loyalty, faith, and standing firm in the face of overwhelming pressure.
