Our Review of Aranya

Aranya is a touching drama set in Maharashtra’s thick forests, where a tough Naxalite gives up guns for his daughter’s education Hardik Joshi plays the dad with real emotion, making you feel his struggle and change nicely. Hritika Patil as the daughter adds innocence, and supporting folks like Suresh Vishwakarma fit the gritty vibe. Directed by Amol Karambe, the story hits on family, sacrifice, and choosing books over violence without getting too preachy, with raw forest shots that look authentic. But it feels slow in some parts, and side characters could have more story no big songs or dances, so not for masala lovers. Overall, a simple, heartfelt watch for those who like real-life inspired tales, but might not pull big crowds.

What Worked

1. Hardik Joshi’s role as a tough guy turning soft for his daughter feels genuine and emotional.
2. The Maharashtra forest backdrop adds a real, gritty touch to the drama.
3. The theme of education over violence hits hard without being too preachy.

What Didn’t Work

1. Might feel a bit slow in parts if you’re expecting non stop thrills.
2. Supporting characters could use more backstory based on the promo.
3. No big songs or dances, so it might not appeal to masala fans.
