About The Film

Dorothy is set in a rural landscape shaped by toxic masculinity and violence, where two lifelong friends have grown up within the rigid, often harsh codes of their surroundings. Their long-standing bond and worldview are permanently upended after the arrival of Dorothy, a compassionate woman whose presence and outlook challenge everything the two friends have come to accept as normal.

As Dorothy becomes part of their lives, her openness and empathy begin to expose the cracks in the world the two men have always known, forcing them to confront values and behaviours they had never questioned before. Keerthy Suresh plays the title role, with Sananth and Rishikanth playing the two friends whose friendship is tested by her arrival.

Mixing drama, crime and romance, the film explores how one person’s compassion can disrupt an entrenched, toxic environment, following the ripple effects of Dorothy’s presence on the two friends and the world around them. Without revealing how their relationships or the larger conflict ultimately unfold, Dorothy follows this collision between old, hardened ways of living and a gentler, more humane perspective that refuses to be silenced.
