About The Film

Last Man in Tower is set in Vishram, a modest, ageing housing society in Mumbai’s Vakola area, where retired schoolteacher Yogesh Mishra, fondly called Masterji, is a well loved presence.

Played by Manoj Bajpayee, Masterji spends his days tutoring neighbourhood children and stepping in to help his neighbour, Mrs Puri, with her autistic son whenever she needs support.

The quiet rhythm of this close knit community is disrupted when a builder, played by Boman Irani, arrives with an offer that could change everyone’s lives: a lucrative deal to redevelop the entire society.

As the residents weigh what this offer means for their future, old friendships and long-held bonds are put to the test, with the promise of money threatening to unravel the sense of community that has held Vishram together for years.

Alongside this central conflict, the film weaves in personal threads, including Masterji’s strained relationship with his son Gaurav, who has chosen to live apart from him. As pressure builds within the society and neighbours are forced to take sides, the story follows

Masterji and the people of Vishram as they navigate a decision that will define not just their homes, but the kind of people they choose to be, without revealing how their choices ultimately play out.
