Our Review of September 10
September 10 is a modest budget Kannada social drama which tries to address human & societal issues rather than relying on large action or star spectacle. The film has an ensemble cast with veteran actors, and is likely aimed at an audience that appreciates quieter, message driven cinema. The storytelling pace is expected to be slower and dialogue heavy. With its opening day collection being very small, success will depend heavily on word of mouth, strong reviews, and how well the film is promoted in later days.
What Worked
- The strong social message on suicide prevention hits hard and feels genuine.
- Shashikumar’s performance anchors the film with relatable, heartfelt acting.
- It’s family oriented, clean, and short perfect for all ages without dragging.
What Didn’t Work
- The story feels a bit predictable, like you’ve seen similar emotional dramas before.
- Production values are basic; could’ve used better visuals or music to amp it up.
- Pacing slows down in spots, making it feel more like a TV serial at times.
