Our Review of Soul Mates
Soul Mates is a Kannada thriller with a touch of romance and an environmental theme, where the leads fight against threats to nature while dealing with a contract killer. Srijith Surya and Yashvika Nishkala have good chemistry, bringing strength to the story, and the thriller elements keep some tension. The film highlights timely issues like protecting the environment, but it can feel preachy at times and the supporting roles, like the killer, might overshadow the main plot if not balanced well. It’s a decent watch for fans of action with a message, but lacks big twists to make it memorable.
What Worked
- The environmental theme feels timely and adds heart to the action.
- Srijith Surya and Yashvika Nishkala’s pairing brings romance and strength.
- Thriller elements with a contract killer keep the tension up.
What Didn’t Work
- Might get preachy on nature stuff if not balanced well.
- Supporting roles like the killer could steal focus if overdone.
- As a new film, it might lack big twists based on usual formulas.
