Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam continued its steady run at the box office on Day 5 with a modest collection amid weekday trends. The Saiju Kurup-led dark comedy thriller registered a small dip but maintained audience interest through strong word-of-mouth and positive reviews. Industry trackers noted the film’s resilience in Kerala, where it benefits from the ongoing Vishu festive period.
On Day 6 (Wednesday, 15 April 2026), early estimates suggest the film collected around ₹0.22 crore in India gross. This represents a marginal decline from the previous day’s figures, yet the overall trend remains encouraging for a limited-release Malayalam film. Positive audience feedback and consistent theatre occupancy in key centres have helped the sequel hold its ground better than many similar releases.
The film’s performance reflects growing appreciation for its subtle humour and engaging family drama. With a controlled budget and favourable reviews, Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is showing signs of a stable hold as it enters the second week.

About Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam and Future Prediction
Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam is the much-awaited sequel to the 2024 hit Bharathanatyam. Directed by Krishnadas Murali and co-written with Vishnu R. Pradeep, the film stars Saiju Kurup, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagadish, Vinay Forrt, Baby Jean, Kalaranjini, and Sreeja Ravi in prominent roles. It follows the chaotic journey of a family entangled in a dark comedy thriller involving an accidental crime and a desperate cover-up. Released on 10 April 2026 as a Vishu special, the 155-minute Malayalam film blends subtle humour with family dynamics and has received encouraging feedback for its performances and storytelling.
Looking ahead, the film is expected to maintain a decent hold during the weekdays thanks to positive word-of-mouth. Early trends indicate that strong audience appreciation, particularly in Kerala, could help it sustain collections into the second weekend. While the opening was modest, the gradual build-up and low competition in its segment position it favourably for a respectable theatrical run.
Given its estimated budget of ₹15 crore and controlled marketing, Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam appears on track to emerge as a profitable venture if it continues its current pace. Trade analysts will closely watch the second weekend numbers, which could determine its final verdict as a hit or average performer.
