Dacoit has maintained a steady but modest pace at the Indian box office as it enters its second weekend. Following a respectable opening weekend, the film experienced the expected weekday slowdown. On Day 7, it collected approximately ₹1.25 crore net across India, reflecting continued but tempered audience interest.
Early estimates for Day 8, the second Friday on April 17, suggest a collection of around ₹1.40 crore net. This marks a slight improvement from the previous day and indicates a minor weekend boost, though overall footfalls remain moderate. Theatre occupancy trends show limited growth, particularly outside core Telugu-speaking regions.
The bilingual action romantic drama, led by strong performances from Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur, has relied primarily on the Telugu version for its earnings. With the first week total at ₹28.30 crore net in India, the film continues to build gradually but faces challenges in sustaining momentum amid mixed audience reception.

About Dacoit and Future Prediction
Dacoit: A Love Story is a bilingual action romantic drama directed by Shaneil Deo. The film stars Adivi Sesh as a man drawn into a life of crime and vengeance after personal loss, with Mrunal Thakur playing a pivotal role in the emotional narrative. Supporting cast includes Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, and Zayn Marie Khan. The story blends intense action sequences with themes of love, betrayal, and redemption.
Critics and audiences have offered mixed feedback, praising the lead performances and technical aspects while noting some pacing issues in the storytelling. The Telugu version has driven most of the domestic earnings, with the Hindi version contributing on a smaller scale. Released on April 10, 2026, the film benefits from Adivi Sesh’s established fan base in South India.
In the coming days, Dacoit may see improved collections over the second weekend if positive word-of-mouth builds. However, given the current trajectory and competition in the market, it is projected to finish its theatrical run with India net collections in the range of ₹35-40 crore. The film is likely to achieve partial recovery through non-theatrical rights, but theatrical business remains modest relative to expectations for a clean success.
