Stop! That! Train! landed in theaters on June 12, 2026, offering a loud, colorful dose of campy comedy. Directed by Adam Shankman, the film brings together familiar faces from the drag world in a spoof that playfully nods to classic disaster movies. Early buzz has been strongest among fans who enjoy silly, over-the-top humor and queer-led ensembles.
The story follows two best-friend train stewardesses who move from a rundown service to the fancy Glamazonian Express. Their upgrade quickly turns chaotic when a massive storm threatens the train and everyone on board.
What follows is a frantic, gag-filled effort to keep things from going completely off the rails, with plenty of eccentric personalities along for the ride. Audience reactions on X and other platforms show most viewers having a genuinely good time.
Many are highlighting the easy chemistry between Ginger Minj and Jujubee, along with the rapid stream of silly jokes and slapstick moments that keep the energy high. Several people have called it a fun, feel-good Pride Month watch that works well as a group theater experience, with reports of laughter echoing through screenings.
Not every reaction has been glowing, though. Some audience members feel the humor is hit-or-miss and that certain gags start repeating by the later part of the film. A few have noted that the broad, absurd style may not click for viewers who prefer sharper writing or more grounded comedy.
The overall sentiment leans positive among those open to campy, drag-infused fun, while others find it too silly or uneven to fully land. The film’s biggest strength is its joyful, no-apologies energy and the committed performances from the cast. On the downside, it sometimes leans too heavily on the same type of joke and doesn’t always build to bigger payoffs.
If you like Airplane!-style spoofs, drag culture, and lighthearted chaos, it should deliver a solid couple of hours in theaters. Anyone looking for tighter storytelling or bigger production values might prefer to wait and stream it later.
Final Verdict: Stop! That! Train! delivers exactly the kind of silly, campy ride it sets out to be. The leads keep things entertaining even when the script falters, making it a decent choice for fans who want easy laughs and Pride Month vibes. It won’t win over everyone, but those on its wavelength will likely leave smiling.
