About The Film
Haiwaan follows a visually impaired martial artist, played by Saif Ali Khan, who lives a quiet life until circumstances draw him into protecting a young girl from a dangerous threat.
Despite his disability, his heightened senses and combat skills make him far more capable than anyone around him realises, and he becomes her unlikely shield when danger comes calling.
Standing on the other side of this conflict is a menacing figure played by Akshay Kumar, taking on a rare negative role. As the two men are pulled into a tense standoff, the story builds around a battle of wits and survival, with the protagonist’s determination to protect the girl pushed to its limits.
Supporting characters played by Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher add further layers to the unfolding drama, each connected to the central conflict in their own way.
Being a remake of the acclaimed Malayalam thriller Oppam, the film is expected to retain the original’s tense, cat and mouse structure, following its hero as he uses instinct and resolve to outmanoeuvre a formidable adversary, without revealing how the confrontation is ultimately resolved.
