About The Film
Jayanti 2 follows Payal, a tribal girl who is suspended from college after speaking up against discrimination faced from her classmates.
What should have been a matter handled fairly within the institution instead turns into a much bigger struggle, exposing deeper issues within the college and the system around it.
Santya, played by Ruturaj Wankhede, and Tanuja, played by Priyadarshini Indalkar, step forward to support Payal, taking on the college administration as well as the political pressure that follows.
As they push back against the forces working to keep Payal out, their fight grows into a broader confrontation with social ignorance and the misuse of authority within the education system.
Continuing the socially driven tone of the first Jayanti film, this story follows Santya and Tanuja as they navigate obstacles thrown at them from multiple directions, determined to restore Payal’s dignity and get her back into college.
Without revealing how their efforts ultimately play out, the film keeps its focus on themes of justice, resistance and standing up for those denied a fair chance, staying true to its roots as a grounded social drama.
