Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s spy comedy Udta Teer is finding its feet at the box office. After a modest start, the film showed clear growth on its first Saturday and is now looking more steady for the weekend.

The movie released on 23 October 2026. On Day 1 (Friday) it collected ₹4.10 crore net in India from 6,265 shows with around 13% occupancy. India gross stood at roughly ₹4.83 crore. Overseas added about ₹1.25 crore, taking the worldwide gross to around ₹6.08 crore on opening day. Footfalls were near 1.88 lakh.

Day 2 (Saturday) brought a solid jump. The film earned ₹7.25 crore net in India, a 76.8% rise over Friday. It played across 6,164 shows and averaged ₹11,762 per show. Occupancy improved to 21%. India gross for the day reached approximately ₹8.70 crore. Night shows performed best, with occupancy climbing past 40% in some centres. Footfalls jumped to about 3.18 lakh.

Here’s the day-wise India net picture so far:

  • Day 1 (Fri, 23 Oct): ₹4.10 Cr
  • Day 2 (Sat, 24 Oct): ₹7.25 Cr
  • Total India Net: ₹11.35 Cr

India gross after two days stands at ₹13.53 crore. Overseas contributed another ₹1.50 crore on Saturday, taking the cumulative overseas gross to ₹2.75 crore. Worldwide gross after two days is ₹16.28 crore.

The film is made on a reported budget of around ₹50 crore. Positive word of mouth appears to be helping in urban multiplexes, where evening and night shows saw better response. Ticket sales and show counts remained healthy despite a slight reduction in screens from Day 1.

Udta Teer is directed by Aakash Kaushik and produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. With Sunday still to come, the opening weekend total will give a clearer idea of how far this spy comedy can go. For now, the Saturday surge has given it a better platform than the opening day suggested.
