A poetic noir thriller set in Kolkata—Madam Sengupta. Rahul Bose leads as a determined journalist alongside Rituparna Sengupta’s grieving cartoonist. It’s a slow-burning drama with strong visuals and resonant performances.

Our Quick Review Madam Sengupta
I watched Madam Sengupta in Kolkata and was drawn in by its poetic atmosphere. Rituparna Sengupta is compelling as a mother unraveling her daughter’s murder. Rahul Bose quietly complements her as a journalist drawn into the mystery.
The film isn’t fast-paced, but the symbolic murders tied to Abol Tabol add deep layers. While it drags at times, the final act leaves a haunting impression. If you enjoy thoughtful crime dramas anchored in literature, give this a chance.
