Our Review of Nidradevi Next Door
Nidradevi Next Door is a romantic drama that dives into trauma, fear, and healing in a thoughtful way. Shine Shetty and Praveer Shetty give strong performances as leads, with Rishika Naik adding depth. Directed by Suraag Sagar, the film trusts its story with subtle touches and nice visuals, but might feel slow for some. It’s a bold first film that talks about inner peace nicely, good for those who like character stories over big action.
What Worked
- The performances Praveer and Rishika’s chemistry feels natural and pulls you in.
- The music by Nakul Abhyankar adds that emotional depth without overdoing it.
- The way it handles insomnia as a metaphor for bigger life issues, with some clever dark humor.
What Didn’t Work
- The pacing gets uneven in spots, feels a bit draggy.
- The ending comes off chaotic and over dramatic, could’ve been tighter.
- Some parts turn preachy, like it’s trying too hard to teach a lesson.
