Our Review of Pei Kathai
Pei Kathai is a fun mix of spooky and silly, with a group of friends stuck in a haunted VR factory that keeps you laughing and a bit scared. Vinoth and Aarya Lakshmi bring great energy, and the Unreal Engine VR visuals add a cool twist. The humour lands well most times, though some parts feel stretched. It’s a great pick for a light, spooky watch with friends.
What Worked
- Vinoth and Aarya Lakshmi’s lively acting keeps the vibe fun and engaging.
- The mix of comedy and horror with VR animation feels fresh and exciting.
- Bobo Shashi’s music adds to the spooky yet playful mood.
What Didn’t Work
- Some scenes drag a bit, especially in the second half.
- The horror could’ve been scarier to balance the comedy better.
- A few side characters feel like they’re just there for filler.
