Our Review of Ramanagara
Ramanagara attempts a socially meaningful story the idea of educated youth choosing roots over migration, embracing farming, serving community, patriotism. These themes often strike a chord among certain Kannada audiences who prefer message cinema. The cast seems modest Prabhu Swamy B and Meghana S K are not big commercial stars, which means the film may rely on story, word of mouth, and rural/medium centre performance. Visually and thematically, it has potential, but with such low opening collection, its commercial success will depend heavily on what happens over the next few days screen count, audience response, and ancillary rights.
What Worked
- Prabhu Surya’s lead performance is raw and convincing, especially in the action sequences.
- The rural setting and patriotic theme feel authentic and relatable for small-town folks.
- Music by Kevin M adds that energetic punch to the high moments.
What Didn’t Work
- The plot gets predictable in spots, like you’ve seen similar farmer-hero stories before.
- Pacing slows down in the emotional scenes, could’ve been tighter.
- Supporting characters don’t get enough depth, feels a bit rushed.
