Our Review of Rudhiram
Rudhiram is a solid psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. Raj B Shetty as this creepy doctor Mathew who’s torturing Swathy (Aparna Balamurali) mentally and physically, while she’s stuck with her dog Piku. It’s all about her fight to survive and get revenge, with some deep dives into trauma and freedom.
Shot nicely with tense moments, it’s not your usual masala flick, more like a slow-burn that hits on women’s issues without shouting. If you like edge of seat stuff with strong performances, it’s worth it, but might feel heavy for casual watches.
What Worked
- Raj B Shetty’s villainous role – he’s chilling and owns the screen.
- Aparna Balamurali’s performance – her emotional depth as the victim-turned-fighter is top-notch.
- Thriller elements – the twists and suspense build up nicely.
What Didn’t Work
- Pacing gets slow in parts, might test your patience.
- Some plot points feel forced or predictable.
- Limited scope – mostly confined setting, no big action or songs to break it up.
