Our Review of Thandakaaranyam
Thandakaaranyam is a strong drama about a guy who loses his forest job and tries to join the army, but faces big problems from society and traps on tribal people. Kalaiyarasan and Dinesh act really well, showing the pain and fight nicely, and the film talks about important things like politics and love in a real way. But some parts feel scattered and slow, not keeping the thrill all through. Good for those who like thoughtful stories, but could be tighter.
What Worked
- Strong performances from Dinesh and Kalaiyarasan, especially in the emotional scenes.
- Justin Prabhakaran’s music and BGM that amps up the tension nicely.
- The real-life inspired plot that feels fresh and relevant.
What Didn’t Work
- Might feel a bit slow in parts for folks wanting non-stop action.
- Low-key promotion could mean it doesn’t get the big opening it deserves.
- Some side stories might not connect as strongly.
