Aadu 3, officially titled Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1, hit theatres worldwide on 19 March 2026. Directed and written by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the film stars Jayasurya reprising his iconic role as Shaji Pappan, leading a massive ensemble cast that includes Vijay Babu, Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, and Harikrishnan. After nine years, this third instalment takes the popular Malayalam comedy franchise into new territory with fantasy, time travel, and multiverse elements.
The story follows Shaji Pappan and his chaotic gang as they accidentally open a Pandora’s box of reincarnations and parallel timelines. What starts as their familiar brand of misadventures spirals into an epic comic frenzy across different eras and realities. At around 165 minutes, the film is presented as the first part of a two-part saga, blending slapstick humour, mass moments, and ambitious visual effects.
Jayasurya delivers yet another powerhouse performance as Shaji Pappan, showcasing his unmatched comic timing and screen presence. The entire supporting cast shines through their effortless chemistry, with Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, and Dharmajan Bolgatty particularly standing out for their energy and humour. Their bond remains the film’s emotional and comedic anchor.
Midhun Manuel Thomas directs with clear ambition, expanding the Aadu universe on a grander scale than ever before. The first half reintroduces the characters and sets up the complex plot, which moves at a steady pace. The second half ramps up the madness with bigger set pieces and laugh-out-loud sequences. Dawn Vincent’s background score and the songs keep the energy high, while the cinematography captures both intimate gang moments and large-scale fantasy sequences effectively.
