Our Review
From the trailer and synopsis, Ami Goenda Basab has strong potential for appeal among fans of crime & mystery. The setting in Bishnupur gives it atmospheric promise, and with a plot involving investigator vs suspicion vs truth, it could be gripping. Lead actors like Bharat Kaul and Som Chattopadhyay bring experience. If the screenplay is tight, dialogues sharp, and pacing maintained, this could stand out among Bengali mysteries this year.
What Worked
- Intriguing murder mystery setup the frame up and detective friend angle hooks you right away.
- Bengali cultural vibes in Bishnupur makes the drama feel authentic and grounded.
- Genre mix of crime and mystery always a crowd pleaser in regional cinema.
What Didn’t Work
- Limited pre release details on cast hope the performances match the story’s intensity.
- Modest budget might limit visuals relying heavy on plot twists to shine.
