Our Review of Madharaasi
Madharaasi is a thriller where Sivakarthikeyan plays a guy with mental issues who helps stop bad guys from spreading guns in Tamil Nadu. Sivakarthikeyan acts well in a different role, and Vidyut Jammwal is good as the villain, but the story feels slow sometimes and doesn’t have big surprises. AR Murugadoss directs it okay with action, but it could have been tighter. Fine for fans of psycho thrillers, but not a must watch
What Worked
- Sivakarthikeyan’s fierce new avatar – he’s looking intense and layered.
- Anirudh Ravichander’s banging soundtrack, with “Salambala” and “Vazhiyiraen” already viral.
- The trailer’s tense vibe and action sequences, promising a gripping thriller.
What Didn’t Work
- Clashing with Ghaati and other films on September 5 might split audiences.
- Some fans worry the story could get too dark or complex for casual viewers.
- Limited buzz for the Hindi version (Dil Madharaasi) in North India.
