Our Review of Odiyangam
Odiyangam is a mythological drama telling the story of Mayan, a guy blessed by an old tribal god called Karimkutty, and his journey through folklore and adventure. Sreejith Panicker plays the lead well, keeping it real, and Nisha Ridhi adds to the cast. The film mixes love, revenge, and nice visuals with music that fits, but it might feel slow for some and doesn’t have big hype to pull crowds. Good for those who like historical tales from tribes, but nothing too exciting for everyone
What Worked
- The relatable plot hints from the trailer, focusing on real life issues.
- Sreejith Panicker’s lead performance seems grounded and sincere.
- Simple direction by Sunil Subramanian that keeps things real.
What Didn’t Work
- Low buzz so far, might not get a strong opening.
- As a small film, it could lack the polish for wider appeal.
- Limited info on story, risking it feeling too basic.
