About Zootopia 2 and Future Prediction

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back and the nostalgia is working big time everywhere except India (so far). Reviews are excellent, animation is top-notch, songs are catchy, and word of mouth is very positive. China is absolutely loving it – biggest Hollywood single day ever, biggest Saturday ever, records tumbling left and right.

In India it’s clearly underperforming compared to expectations, but the weekend is decent and hold should be good on weekdays because of holidays in some states and kids factor. Likely to finish around ₹25-30 crore lifetime here, which will be okay-ish (profitable on satellite/digital). Worldwide though – easily heading towards $1.5 billion+, could challenge Inside Out 2 for the biggest animated film ever.
