Man Aatle Mantle Collection | Budget | Hit/Flop

Man Aatle Mantle (also titled Man Aatale Manaatale) is a Marathi action-drama-romance, released on 13 February 2026 starring Manasi Naik, Ruturaj Phadke, Surren Mahapatra, and Upendra Limaye. Directed and produced by Surren Mahapatra, the film explores hidden emotions and unspoken love buried deep within the heart. It opened in theaters across Maharashtra on a very limited scale, primarily in smaller towns and select single screens in cities like Latur and Kolhapur.

The film faced a near-impossible battle for visibility, clashing with the massive Marathi sequel Punha Ekda Sade Made Teen and the Bollywood heavyweight O Romeo. On Day 1, Man Aatle Mantle earned approximately ₹0.01 crore net in India.

With a runtime of 2 hours and 28 minutes and a “UA” certificate, it struggled to attract the younger “Valentine’s weekend” demographic that flocked to more commercial titles. Occupancy remained extremely low, averaging between 3–5%. Worldwide collections mirrored the domestic figures, as there was no overseas footprint for this regional production.

Our Review

Man Aatle Mantle is an old-school romantic drama that feels like a throwback to the early 2000s, but not necessarily in a nostalgic way. The film follows a familiar template of unspoken love and family drama, led by Manasi Naik and Ruturaj Phadke. While Naik brings her usual charm and Phadke is earnest, the screenplay by Surren Mahapatra feels dated and overly melodramatic.

The film’s primary strength is the presence of veteran actors like Upendra Limaye and Arun Nalawade, who provide a much-needed gravity to the proceedings. However, even their seasoned performances cannot save a script that relies on slow-motion sequences and clichéd dialogue to convey “deep emotions.” Technically, the film is a very modest production.

The cinematography is functional but lacks the cinematic flair expected from a theatrical release in 2026. The background score is frequently loud, attempting to compensate for scenes that lack genuine emotional tension. When compared to the week’s other Marathi release, Punha Ekda Sade Made Teen, which perfectly balanced nostalgia with modern production values, Man Aatle Mantle feels like a “TV movie” that accidentally made it to the big screen. It is a slow-burn drama that eventually burns out due to its lack of a fresh perspective on romance.

From a commercial standpoint, the film has failed to make any impact. With a negligible opening of just ₹1 lakh, it is unlikely to survive past its first weekend. The release timing was particularly unfortunate; launching an indie romantic drama on the same day as a beloved franchise sequel ensured that the film was starved of screens and audience interest.

It might find a small, appreciative audience on Marathi-centric OTT platforms where family dramas have a more consistent viewership, but as a theatrical entity, this “hidden emotion” will unfortunately remain hidden from the box office charts.
