AMB Cinemas Debuts in Bengaluru with South India’s First Dolby Cinema

AMB Cinemas, a collaboration between Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and Asian Cinemas, will open its doors in Bengaluru on January 16, introducing South India’s first Dolby Cinema experience.

The multiplex, located at the revamped Kapali Theatre in Gandhi Nagar, features nine advanced screens, including a 586-seat Dolby Cinema auditorium (Screen 6) with Dolby Vision for vivid imagery and Dolby Atmos for immersive audio. Tickets start at ₹250, with bookings now live on BookMyShow.

Mahesh Babu announced the launch on X, stating: “The doors formally open at AMB Cinemas in Bengaluru on Jan 16th with South India’s first Dolby Cinema experience! Extremely proud of TEAM AMB for putting in an extraordinary effort to see this through … Looking forward to seeing u all very soon in Namma Bengaluru…”

Originally slated for December 2025, the opening was delayed due to final works. Asian Group’s Executive Director Jyesth Narang confirmed: “AMB Cinemas is opening on the 16th of January along with Dolby Cinemas!”

The venue honors Kapali’s legacy while offering premium seating and interiors. Initial screenings include Avatar 3 and MSG.

This expansion follows AMB’s success in Hyderabad, aiming to elevate cinema in Karnataka.
