Akhil Akkineni’s latest Telugu film Lenin is seeing an increase in the number of shows across several cinema centres after receiving a good response from audiences during its opening weekend. The makers shared the update on social media, announcing that extra shows have been added to meet the growing demand from moviegoers.

The decision comes after the film showed positive momentum at the box office. According to trade reports, Lenin recorded growth on its second day, with collections improving by around 14% compared to its opening day.

The film’s worldwide gross also crossed ₹23 crore within its first two days, indicating a healthy start at the box office. Adding extra shows is a common practice when a film performs well and theatres see higher occupancy than expected.

It allows exhibitors to accommodate more viewers, especially during weekends when demand is usually at its highest. While the number of additional shows varies from one theatre to another, the latest move suggests that exhibitors are confident about the film’s ongoing theatrical run.

Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin stars Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles. The village-based action drama was released in theatres on July 10 after its release date was postponed from June to give the team more time to complete the film.

With extra shows now being added across multiple centres, Lenin is expected to attract more audiences over the weekend.

The film’s performance in the coming days will determine whether exhibitors continue to expand its screening schedule in more locations.
