Devagudi Movie Collection & Budget | OTT | Hit/Flop

Devagudi is a Telugu-language drama film directed by Bellam Ramakrishna Reddy, who also produced it under Pushyami Film Makers. Released on 30 January 2026, the movie stars Abhinav Saurya as the lead, alongside Anushree, Narasimha Toshi, and Raghu Kunche in key roles, with supporting performances by Raghu Babu, Annapurnamma, and others.

Inspired by real-life events in the faction-ridden Rayalaseema region, the plot delves into themes of caste divisions, loyalty, revenge, and redemption among childhood friends separated by societal barriers. As of 31 January 2026, the film has finished its opening day, posting an estimated India gross of ₹1.10 crore, primarily from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where early occupancy reached 25-35% in semi-urban theatres.

Advance bookings were moderate, and the performance aligns with mid-budget rural dramas that depend on local word-of-mouth rather than widespread promotion. Day 2 estimates suggest a hold or minor increase if positive feedback spreads. Worldwide collections remain close to domestic figures, with limited overseas data available at this point.

Our Review

Devagudi captures the raw intensity of factional rivalries in Rayalaseema, drawing from actual incidents to portray the corrosive impact of vengeance, allegiance, and individual loss on friends divided by caste lines. Bellam Ramakrishna Reddy directs with a keen eye for regional authenticity, using the area’s arid vistas to frame a story of simmering conflicts and moral reckonings. Abhinav Saurya and Narasimha Toshi bring conviction to their characters’ internal struggles, while Anushree infuses the romantic and family elements with poignant subtlety.

Raghu Kunche’s multifaceted involvement as actor and composer bolsters the dramatic force with a score that amplifies the emotional highs. Preliminary viewer insights from day-one showings value the film’s grounded action and regional flavor, though full critiques are still developing. Relative to classic Telugu faction stories by seasoned filmmakers, which often succeed via unfiltered emotion and local ties despite modest finances, Devagudi treads a comparable route with fresh faces but gains from narrative inspiration and technical solidity in visuals and editing.

The ₹12 crore investment positions a breakeven at roughly ₹20-25 crore gross, reachable if core mass regions sustain interest through the weekend. Upcoming performance hinges on evening crowds, hold in Andhra-Telangana areas, and social media traction in a busy release period. Strong endorsements could lead to consistent growth, echoing mid-range hits that leverage genre fidelity and heartfelt resonance over celebrity draw.

If the story’s nuance and action connect widely, profitability is likely; limited hype might yield average results. Altogether, Devagudi supplies a gripping, locally anchored drama that upholds the lasting draw of faction tales in Telugu film, its business fate reliant on continued cinema turnout in the near term.
