Sweety Naughty Crazy Collection | Budget | OTT | Hit/Flop

Sweety Naughty Crazy is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie, released on 13 February 2026 starring Thrigun (Adith Arun), Srijitaa Ghosh, Iniya, and Thambi Ramaiah. The film is directed by Rajasekar G and falls squarely into the adult romantic comedy genre, aiming to capture the youthful, post-Valentine’s Day crowd.

It started its box office journey on a very quiet note, primarily due to the massive shadow cast by the big-budget Hindi release O Romeo and other regional competitors. In the Tamil and Telugu markets, the film opened with limited screenings and saw an average occupancy of around 8–10% in single screens, while multiplexes remained largely indifferent on Day 1.

The movie managed to collect approximately ₹0.05 crore (net) on its opening day across India. While the figure is modest, it is somewhat expected for a low-budget adult comedy without a major star face. Worldwide, the collection barely moved past the ₹0.06 crore mark. The film’s narrative—which involves a college student navigating accidental flings with his future girlfriend’s sister and mother—has limited its appeal to a niche audience seeking “guilty pleasure” cinema.

Trade experts suggest that for the film to survive the weekend, it needs a massive surge on Saturday and Sunday; however, early tracking indicates only a marginal uptick despite the Valentine’s Day sentiment.

Our Review

Sweety Naughty Crazy is a textbook example of the “adult-com” genre that Kollywood occasionally churns out—high on innuendo, low on logic. The film follows Shiva (Thrigun), a carefree college student who finds himself in a comedic nightmare when he realizes his past “encounters” with a tutor and an older woman are actually his girlfriend’s sister and mother.

While the premise has the ingredients for a zany, awkward comedy, the execution is hampered by a screenplay that leans too heavily on double-entendres and locker-room humor rather than clever situational writing. Thrigun does his best to keep the energy up, and Thambi Ramaiah provides some genuine laughs, but the film often feels like a series of cringe-inducing sketches strung together. Technically, the film is a bare-bones production.

The music by S.N. Arunagiri is functional but forgettable, and the cinematography by C. Vijayasri struggles to make the hill-station setting look like anything more than a budget vacation spot. Compared to modern adult comedies like Trisha Illana Nayanthara or the Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu franchise, this film lacks the “shock value” or the sharp wit required to truly engage its target demographic.

It feels dated, like a script from the early 2010s that was polished with 2026 slang but forgot to bring the heart or the humor. From a box office perspective, the future looks bleak. With a Day 1 India net of just ₹0.05 crore, it is struggling to pay for its own theater electricity in many centers.

Even with a shoestring budget of roughly ₹1 crore, the film will find it difficult to break even through theatrical revenue alone. It is likely to find a slightly better reception on OTT platforms, where “guilty pleasure” content often thrives in private viewing. However, in theaters, it remains a missed opportunity that fails to justify its ‘A’ certificate with anything other than blunt, repetitive gags.
